PREVIEW & MEETINGS

Kogo Gallery is pleased to participate in Riga Contemporary, an international contemporary art fair organised by Kim? Contemporary Art Centre and Riga City Council, taking place 2–5 July 2026 at Hanzas Perons.

In its second year, it brings together 40+ galleries from more than 15 countries and presents works by 100+ artists across Europe, Asia and North America. From Tokyo to New York, Tbilisi to Bratislava, Riga Contemporary positions the city as a meeting point for contemporary art across the Baltic states, Eastern Europe, and the wider international context. Curated by Kim? and Jeffrey Rosen (Misako & Rosen, Tokyo; NADA), the fair fosters dialogue between emerging and established galleries, prioritising collaboration, accessibility, and cultural exchange.

At Riga Contemporary, Kogo Gallery presents works by two represented artists – Latvian artist Elīna Vītola and Estonian artist Eike Eplik.

Elīna Vītola’s (b. 1986, Riga, Latvia) conceptual and visually vibrant work varies from paintings to complex communal installations involving several other artists and creative practitioners. Classically trained as a painter at the Art Academy of Latvia (BA and MA), Vītola has taken up this medium as a companion in her artistic journey to disentangle some issues that are connected with her identity as an artist and the art world in general and to build new platforms for other artists.

Eike Eplik (b. 1982, Estonia) is a sculptor and installation artist who is deeply fascinated by biodiversity and its complicated relationship with humankind. She creates sensitive and imaginative works full of personal mythology through different visual expressions and materials such as clay, plaster, metal, wood and ready-made.
