PREVIEW & MEETINGS
We are pleased to participate for the first time at the contemporary art fair Art Warsaw, taking place from 21 to 24 May in Warsaw, Poland.
At the fair, we will present new works by two of our represented artists – Estonian artist Eike Eplik and Latvian artist Sabīne Vernere.
During the fair, you are most welcome to visit Eike Eplik’s solo exhibition Something New Emerges From Decay at Le Guern Gallery in Warsaw, open until 23 May. The gallery is located at Katowicka 25 and is open for visits Tue–Fri 12–18 and Sat 11–16.
Eike Eplik (b. 1982, Estonia) is a sculptor and installation artist who is deeply fascinated by biodiversity and its complicated relationship with humankind. She creates sensitive and imaginative works full of personal mythology through different visual expressions and materials such as clay, plaster, metal, wood and ready-made.
Sabīne Vernere (b. 1990, Latvia) is known for her expressive Indian ink paintings depicting anthropomorphic, gender-fluid beings. There is a strong presence of beauty, sensuality and emotion in the artist’s works, but also disturbance and violence, a juxtaposition that correlates with the complexities of the dynamics between humans and nature.
