Introduction
As a counterbalance to unrealistic beauty ideals, it’s sometimes good to sit at a bus stop and observe everyone around you. Someone is going to work, someone is going home, someone has their backpack zipped wide open, someone smells like pancakes and someone is staring at you, instead. Everyone is so humanly interesting, but no one is completely perfect.
Red lips and “flaws” are part of a larger (self)portrait without a face or a name to go with it, making you look at and evaluate things differently. Such rawness, courage and the opportunity to examine someone else so closely while invisible brings you down to earth for a moment, like a little reality check.
